I like how Oldham give chances to ex professionals/untried managers. Instead of the usual crap getting jobs.

Aren't we guilty of that in the past and got slated for it?

Wonder if Barnsley also made a call to Dave Allen? In terms of profile and experience, there doesn't appear to be much between LJ and PC

but miles apart in terms of availability you'd imagine?

LJ was in the last few months of his contract whereas PC has over 2 years left on his.

Then there was the public disagreement over the Evans thing, I'm guessing LJ was always going to be leaving this or after this campaign.

Delighted for him.

I wonder if he'll pull Mark Allot out of their academy to assist?

Adam Lockwood currently his assistance, short term but if they give him a chance of the job full time, who knows.

It will suit Tommy Wright, assuming that he moves with him.

Mark Allots academy here in Middleton is as far as I am aware totally independent of OAFC.

It is, but he also coaches one of their academy sides.

Wouldn't have made a fortune, I had a look after the game when you posted that and he was 1/4 to be the next manager gone so I gave it a miss!

Tbh it was a fair shout maybe a game or two previous where you might have got 2s or maybe 3/1...I think not only the 4-0 home defeat, but the team who it was against , probably made it a certainty.

Dean Holden given the gig to the end of the season, be nice to open hostilities against his team.
