Could the FA get this any more wrong? Now they've managed to alienate Scunny and Worcester fans after cocking up the Saturday fixture.

It's hard to say what a fair judgement would have been but going on previous examples - a fine and us re-instated seems to be the right route. I would imagine MK sent a general letter of support in our favour, but my guess is the last thing they wanted was a replay. I still think they'll go for it and be pleased to have another crack at it - but in the cold light of day it probably wasn't something that high on their agenda - they have had their cup glory this year and probably happy with that.

As I said earlier, we have been in the second round for ages - someone only has to say "Can we check that everyone is eligible," and we are in the clear. But its been left by everyone which is inexcusable really.

Turners interview was appalling, but then most of his interviews are

Our silly mistake.kick us out and lets get on to more important matters in the league.

Do you think the FA give a monkeys, they're just collateral damage

I remember the relief I felt when we didn't draw a premiership team

In retrospect I was wrong, would the FA come up such a ruling and inconvenience Chelsea, not a flying...........

We've not just been kicked in the knackers by the decision to replay, we've had another boot in the nuts as a result of the date set.

As have Scunny/Worcester, and as have Crawley.

At least no spend for team on an overnight stay

counter productive

They didn't stay overnight for the first match. We passed them on the M1 and we weren't early! The team bus arrived about 2pm.

Crawley was called off anyway Chris as we were then in 3rd round, so probably too late to put it back again but not sure i read somewhere they rearranged another game for 3rd round day...

Just realised this will possibly impact the young spireites annual party too as it's on 2nd and all the players usually attend, but they'll be on their way to MK. Kids are gonna be unhappy

Have you asked about this marcia? I emailed Ian yesterday when i saw the new fixture and he said he had emailed chris turner and would let me know how it impacted it. Suggested changing times or something, but we certainly wont be going if theres no players there . What a fiasco!!

Decent pricing don't think we could have asked for much less for them to break even.

Edit - confirmed on their O/S.

Bet the FA are really proud of this one. There's REAL power, when you can muck up a kid's party. They'll be holding their heads high tonight.

MKD seemed to have took a dig at the FA about covering the cost of the replay

Thinking depends on what time the tram have to leave and what they usually do pre match for evening away games. Ian will get something sorted one way or another.

As pointed out on a previous thread Wolves knew the procedure as they had given permission to two other clubs Notts County and Gillingham for players to play in round one. I suspect the admin departments of the clubs sought the permission in writing whereas we did it at directly verbally at team manager level which is understandable given it would have needed some persuasion. Then followed the error as both managers never thought about the admin side.

We can blame the admin side for not being proactive, whilst they may have been distracted by a drugs test on the day at MK Cook had told the media the previous day Georg had been given permission to play, they probably didn't hear the interviews fair enough.

I'm far more annoyed at the club not coming clean and telling us the truth than the human error that caused the problem, as this is not an error but a deliberate choice

Just to clear this matter up: Wolves DID send written permission to CFC, but it was never forwarded to the FA.

Dunno what form it came in, whether text or otherwise, but in its judgement the FA stated that written permission HAD been sent from Wolves to CFC and that CFC had received this permission but had failed to forward it to the FA. I wrote to the FA requesting clarity and they replied today.

http://www.thefa.com...-to-be-replayed .....there is a link here for the findings, but i am still sure Wolves should have informed the FA in writing as well....
