I don't think we will get 5 million for Sammy, though I easily think we'll get two plus! What I do believe is that we should put a 5 million price tag on him when the interest starts to kick in (and it will believe me). This will do two things... create more interest and show willing buyers that we aren’t messing about and we will only consider serious bids.

That’s where my valuation of 5-8 million came from, you don’t value a player at 1 million if you want a million; you start high and come down and I like to think our board would see the value in Sammy to us and turn down anything less than 1.5 million (unless it carry very favourable sell on clauses).
