Don't know, can't see that the two are related even if both of your assertions are true

not at all, the 90% thing is a running joke on here - but it is evident that a lot of idiots follow town, there are a lot in the population in general
Already posted at length on why whilst 7k was an optimistic prediction it wasn't too far fetched as it was a forecast based on what has happened previously - also with a lower forecast Dave Allen wouldn't have 'got his hand in his pocket' to sign the likes of Roberts and Ryan
Those moaning about the forecast would be moaning a lot more if they forecast 5.5k attendances, recruited accordingly and finished 10th!

Much fewer think DA should be continually putting his hand is pocket
Having said no matter the merit of each assertions I don't see why they are mutually exclusive and I don't understand why I am contributing to a totally unnecessary thread
As you said the subjects have well covered and to be honest, exhausted

I don't recall anyone posting on here ribbing that figure, stating it was 'pie in the sky' as some are now calling it.
Indeed, most were simply content the club were signing high-calibre players and that seemingly the finances would 'take care of themselves'

And, as mere supporters, isn't that about as far as our concerns should have extended?

Think your getting mixed up fella
There are people saying the finances were not under sufficient control and poor planning was at fault - and this was not a good way to run the club
There are also people who say DA needs to spend some money on the squad.
Very few folk have said both.

yep - I`m guessing that stuff like the trips abroad, the CFC village, extra coaching staff etc wont have been cheap.
While I applaud these initiatives you have to now question the spending priorities. If you are struggling to fund the first team squad, do you have pre and post season jaunts overseas?
Surely the football side of life has to come first if you cannot afford to do both? Establish yourself as a midtable solid L1 side before this other stuff. If your over budget on the playing side, in your bid to gain promotion to L1 do you then spend shed loads on this other stuff? Especially when you base your turn over on extremely optimistic attendances?
It seems to me that PC has said - Mr Turner, this idea will be good to build the club/for team morale etc can we do it? CT has simply said yeah course we can, without considering the wider implications.

I wouldn't actually expect DA to put his hand in pocket yet again. I'm realistic DA is a businessman not a benefactor we all knew that. I don't hold it against him that he's not a Dave Whelan living the dream. I wont be angry with him personally if he doesn't put more in.
However DA has major responsibility for putting us in this position. Budgeting for 7k in league 2 was naïve. So he may have to put his hand in his pocket to ensure we don't have a relegation fight, possibly go down again, get lower crowds, and enter a negative spiral where both he and the fans get disillusioned with the club and each other.
Just have to hope that there are 4 teams worse than us this season. I hope next season things will have been sorted out behind the scenes and we can stabilise as a mid table league 1 team who occasionally threaten to go up in a good year. This is very achievable, but with CT there I have my doubts we can stabilise, and it is frustrating because this is all very avoidable.

just me, it is funny how much it riles some people
it was once suggested that I need to carry out an intelligence survey on all town fans to make sure my figure is correct
what is definitely true is that a lot of Town fans are know nothing (when it comes to football) idiots, just listen to them at games - however this is true of all football fans and the public in general!

Well done
It probably riles people because they realise it is a stupid thing to say
