As much as i'm happy we've signed a striker....there is that little niggle that its a gamble and our last two signings have the same agent. Hopefully its all misplaced fears but we need to see them both on the pitch and see what happens.

What I admire about Cook and his transfer policy is that he is getting a good balance in the squad. Cooper and OShea could both play at a higher level and will no doubt be at the upper end of our playing budget. The 2 new lads will most likely be at the opposite end of the spectrum and given that they are both on short term deals they are gambles worth taking IMO.
I see the new Striker as the 'plan B' in case our preferred XI aren't getting the job done. A young Striker with the required physical attributes who is eager to impress.

I assumed Cooper would be on a comparatively little wage given he's a young lad, was way down the pecking order at Hull and only played 22 first team games, including loans, before coming to us this year. What makes you think he's on a big wedge?

I don't know for certain, but based on the other opportunities he had available to him at the time of his signature, I'd be inclined to think he's on decent wedge and deservedly so.

Cooper is on very good money. It's been suggested to me that Richards, Lee and Cooper will be three of the best paid players in League Two, possibly the best paid three!

it is frequently said in football that to be successful the spine of your side has to be strong, So, it makes perfect sense to have the three highest players down the middle.
