Radio Sheffield Crisis, WHAT Crisis?

We're a club sliding down the leagues, having appointed a manager who managed just one win in our last 9 games in L1 in a feeble attempt to fight off relegation. Who subsequently failed to get us into the playoffs, even though Rotherham had 10 points deducted. A combination of bizarre tactics and woeful defending left 9 points below a play off place. Who has spent substantially on recruiting players in the twilight of their careers on lengthy contracts on allegedly large wages, but with just 2 strikers. The result being that we have lost our last 3 league games and 4 games lost at home already: 8 points off a promotion spot after 8 games and now home gates have now sunk below 3000.
Crisis, WHAT Crisis?
Hopefully by the time the investor comes aboard, there will still be the remains of a club to invest in?
Hopefully, BH is having a nice relaxing time at the seaside.

Sorry but Mr P Walker does not have a clue what he's talking about, he admits he's only seen one game, he has no idea what Saltergate is like these days, he has no idea how bad the football is or how shockingly clueless Rico is, until he does he should keep his mouth shut and listen to the ones that ring up to tell it how bad it has become

I thought Paul Walker talked far more sense than Chris and I for one don't blame him for being irritated by a criticism of a chairman being on holiday, all a bit rich from a fan who takes a supporting holiday virtually every away game....

However, over the last couple of weeks they have started listening to the fans abit more and letting them have their say rather than jumping down their throats. Andy even changed his initial '10 to 15 game' statement to 'Give Richardson 10 games'! I finally thought they were starting to come round to our way of thinking... Until tonight!
I actually SHOUTED at the radio! It was really annoying and ignorent the way they kept on jumping in and not letting the caller speak! They may aswell start calling saturdays show 'PRAISE or PRAISE'!
Well, weve now played 8 league games and things aren't looking that great to me! It's gunna take something REAL special in the next 2 games to make me think otherwise...

I agree but the criticism was of the chairman for missing games when the caller does the same

I have an opinion as a former CFSS Board member in 2001 when the club was within hours of going out of existence. Now that's a crisis.

You don't need to attend every game to see that we've lost five out of eight (and two of those we won were against the bottom two sides in the league barring point deductions), we're sitting fourteenth in the league despite the high profile players signed, we've scored fewer and conceded more than this time last season, we've gone out of both cup competitions we've played in thus far at the first hurdle (Preston i can understand, but Grimsby at home?), and, most importantly of all, our crowds are at bankruptcy levels and falling.
Now, if i'd attended every away game for the last ten years would any of those statistics change?
And by the way, just how many Town games has any of the RS presenters seen this season?
Let me say this one more time: Barry Hubbard is entitled to go on holiday wherever and whenever he wants, but if he does so when the football club he's running is facing a crisis - and that's what's happening whether RS presenters like it or not - it sends an extremely negative message to the supporters.

I know a few of the folk on this thread and it's a real shame when Town fans with the club at heart, whatever their views, get to this stage of disagreement over what most people including the manager would say is not acceptable on the pitch. The only real question is how long you give it and unless there is a very quick turn around in fortunes that has to be in the next 2 to 3 weeks or else we will be writing off this season given the recruitment time (assuming that we advertise externally).
There is the ownership issue which of course most of us know nothing about in detail and timing and how that will impact on events. I think the best we can do is grin and bear it like on many occasions in the past. The one and only serious protest in my time brought about the biggest disaster this club has ever seen and so on that basis drifting into oblivion for a little while longer seems a better option in the real hope that a new owner is not that far away.
Hard work this supporting your local team lark isn't it?

So me missing away games is just the same as the person running the Club being absent?
Blimey, i didn't realise i was so important!

So how long can we continue on gates of three thousand before we're faced with a similar scenario?

I am all for getting rid of Richardson but some of the players need to be following him because i don't see anything changing otherwise, bring it on i really want to see the magic work once Rico has gone, promotion will be a cert won't it,up up and away......

Unfortunately it won't as we will be some way behind and as you rightly state there will need to be a turnover of playing staff in order to have a serious effect. Rico himself said at the Player's Fund evening that there were 2 more he wanted out and 4/5 more in. A few loans/1 short term contract have come in but no-one has gone out. We can all guess who they might be but given some of his decisions I wouldn't want to put any money on it.

You accuse the RS presenters of the something you are guilty of yourself
