Twas a debate, well in my case pointing out the irony and also the pitfalls of the NL that have transpired this week (cant be ar..d to list them all again)that concluded with Town fans being banned from their own gaff.
Perhaps if this constitutes an over reaction it would sit more comfortably in the 'Personnel Section' rather than the 'Football Section'
Except last night it technically wasnt our "gaff" as it was a Halifax home game and nothing to do with us.

Stop splitting hairs.
All that needed doing was allocate the North side of the West stand to neutrals (Town fans) CFC could have sold print at home tickets to folk already on their data base and given the dosh to Halifax and CFC could have gained from extra concourse sales. Extra stewarding would have been minimal, apparently with them thinking not many (if any in some schools of thought) would attend.

Aside i suspect from police saying they were fine with us hosting on the basis no tickets to town fans, would concourse sales have covered staffing and stocking it in the West Stand? Its all just hassle and stuff to do for CFC when they dont need to do anything other than open things up for folk to get in pretty much. We have to make the game available to folk to buy with any provisions as to who can buy etc all for a game that we're not playing in.

Just seems folk get mardy about everything nowadays
One of the things I’ll miss about the NL - Clarevoyant getting himself worked up over the slightest thing

How many town fans would have wanted to pay to see them? I certainly wouldn't. Maybe 500 real football fanatics at the most.

That's not the point.
If Halifaxs opponents had been anybody bar Oldham there would have been a push to get neutral fans in to boost the attendance. The fact it was oldham and their reputation curtailed this
the ironic (the bit i like due to the amusement value) part of it being their reputation was greatly added to at our gaff and the NL not taking action.
Keeping you happy Andy

Saying the clubs would rightly assume the town fans wouldn't want to go, if that was the case, why state they can't.

I think you may be overstating the oldham factor here...not a chance there would have been a push for neutrals to turn up. They didnt bother doing it for the other two games at Accrington that Oldham werent involved with.
