Palmer and Shecks very good and Naylor also put in his usual solid performance!

Difficult one to call today. You could make genuine cases for Boot, Sheckleford, Freckleton, Naylor, Mandeville, Banks or Quigley. I’d probably go for Freckleton as well. Hope he’s not injured after receiving treatment in the 2nd half.

Freckleton has been given the chance to shine in his natural position, and he certainly isn't letting anyone down. Deputising for Grimes has brought the best out of him in the last two games, so well done Frecks.

A bit careless in possession a couple of times today (something he really needs to work on) but outstanding on recovery and put in some great tackles and blocks. That extra bit of pace in the centre of defence is a very nice luxury to have and helps him cover for any inexperience

...but still got caught out when their player robbed him and should have scored. Unfortunately, he has a nasty habit of losing possession at least once a game in an area when it should result in a goal. But...
much prefer him in his natural position. Grimes' suspension has worked out well for him and bar that mistake he looked very good. Even dug Horton out of the ###### with the back pass
Might even give Cook a selection headache when Grimes comes back...

Not nit picking but just commenting on MOM performance candidates.
However, fantastic show from the lads again and a brilliant time to be a Spireite.

He is really looking like the version that we saw with Stockport now. Long may it continue

Is palmer one of our most underrated players? Massive fans favourite at Stockport but a lot of our fans don’t seem to have taken to him the same way. The rough patch you mention certainly didn’t help.

Boot was another strong candidate and I’m tempted to say, our best keeper?
Great day out, fantastic support and the lads did us proud 💙

At the beginning of the season he was defending ok but seemed to have at least one almighty coçk up a game that nearly always led to a goal. He looks to have ironed out the mistakes and has improved all round. He’s been fantastic since Williams injury.
