She certainly helped create the situation with Ashmore by letting him get away with his antics for far too long. However I’m sure she eventually booked him which was a minor miracle in itself and then she looked like she was going to give him a second yellow just before he created a situation with the crowd (probably saw it coming and used it as a distraction). Poorly handled a difficult situation but was no worse than we had seen time after time during that period.

Halifax. That performance was utterly baffling to both sets of players. Whoever he was, I don’t doubt he’ll be in the Premier League soon as there aren’t enough refs to go around.
