Good shout, but after a quick think I’ll go for Mathews over Niven, another from the Duncan title winning side.

No, he'd progressed to Duke

So pleased you didn't forget to include Terry Curran amongst the counts. God how that arrogant turd used to annoy me. I always liked Keith Stott as a take no prisoners type of guy. Being able to choose only 3 officials after some of the ones we've had over the years must have been so difficult but well done mate you got those 3 bang on!
Edit:
And also the manager!

Despite his long association with our deluded yellow and blue friends, I always though George Foster was a thoughtful and decent bloke to be honest.

I'd have no issue with you dropping Gary Owers in at centre-back. I could never stand him. Cheating ***.

There must be a place on the subs bench for Bomber, Blathers and Evatt?

Was that the Gary Owers that "equalised" for Bristol City against us at Saltergate in stoppage time in the mid 90's by punching the ball in with his fist?
At the Cross Street end and the game ended 1-1 if I remember correctly. If it was you're right what you call him. Cheating **** !

The very same!

Maybe we could also have a cheats 11 which, as per the previous post above, would definitely include both Zamora and Owers!

Mick Henderson has to be in the take no prisoners team for me...

...which is ironic given his occupation when he finished playing!

Butch Milbern and Billy (the) Kidd with Ivor Seemley in reserve would sort out any one of these fancy wingers on show in today's football. They must be full back candidates in any team.

Bob Newton would normally make any keeper retreat from a one on one situation. As a fellow fan once said to me "it must be like a full barrel of Mansfield rolling downhill towards you when you are struggling to get out if the way".

For the counts I remember a few tussles with Ben Strevens over several seasons. Then there's Labadie was it who bit one of our players?
