sometimes its what is round them, if the neighbouring areas are nicer then it can mean the lesser areas go down as other areas prosper. Sometimes it can be the fact that they are no longer popular - how many Brits do seaside holidays now, how many older folk (like in their 60s and 70s) do trips to Bournemouth an spend their money in the pubs.

And sometimes people get the wrong impression about a place by only seeing a bit of it...

And sometimes it none of the above.

Absolutely not Ian. As you know, I am tolerant of everyone apart from the filthy yellow scabs of course. 😉

I was asking cos I have tatts but I don’t vape. Having said that, my son is on the vape train and I’d rather he hadn’t started, but I’d still rather that than cigs

Nothing against tattoos at all. However I just don't understand why people have them.

Tattoos nowadays are proper art. It’s like sticking a painting on a plain wall to make it look a bit more interesting.

It was the ever lovely Nadine Dorres (!) who said that communities with tattoo parlours and vape shops were the cause of anti social behaviour etc etc.

So you think of yourself as boring and wouldn't you get fed up of looking at the same picture for the rest of your life.

Not at all, doesn’t make you boring if tatts aren’t for you, but I’m saying I can understand why people decide to have them because otherwise it’s just a plain bit of flesh, so why not decorate with something if you like it, if that’s your thing.

I get a lot of comments from people who say they like my sleeve when they see it for the first time, on hols etc.

This is part of my sleeve, you may like it, you might hate it, I’m not offended either way

Looks like a decent piece of art - but what was it that made you think- “I really need an old bloke leaning against a lamp post on my arm for ever and I want everyone to be able to see it”?

Dunno, why did Constable paint a picture of some nob head driving his horse and cart into a massive puddle and call it “The Haywain”?

On a serious note though it’s a good question. I wanted something that wouldn’t age, stand the test of time. Found a theme/design I liked on Pinterest and took it to the tattooist and he adapted it.

That’s obviously just part of it, there’s a lot more to the whole sleeve than that. There’s other things that are personal to me further down the sleeve like my kid’s dates of birth on torn out pages of a calendar etc

However on the other arm….

Yep I know it’s shi*, I was 17 when I had it done and then had it touched up about 5 years ago because it had faded so much. That belongs forever though because you never change your team do you?
