Do you think this terrible news about a Town legend needs to stay on the main forum for a couple of days for those who may miss it in the In Memoriam Thread?

I must admit I thought the same. Not an issue while the link is still visible near the top of the main forum but it will drop as other topics get created / bumped.

I didn’t realise he’d sadly passed until I saw this thread.

Then I had to hunt for the memorial section to post my condolences.

I was at the game where he scored that free kick, brilliant seeing it unfold from the Kop, very surprised that we'd actually had some creative thinking/training on free kicks!

Awful news. Often posted town fans well wishes via social media and was clearly an out and out spireite. I started watching town in the late 80s and he remains one of my top 10 centre backs I’ve seen. RIP Tony

Saw Tony on the Victoria Derbyshire show a few years ago bravely speaking out about the abuse he suffered as a youngster. It must have taken some courage to go on national television and do such a personal thing which shows just what a great guy he was. My heart went out to him that day and now it goes out to his wife and family. RIP Tony, the world is so much poorer for your passing. God bless you mate.
