Mum struggling to recreate high she used to get from dropping off children at school
15th May 2020

A WOMAN is missing the kick she used to feel when leaving her children in someone else’s care for the day.

Carolyn Ryan has been chasing the high of school drop-off since lockdown began and is becoming increasingly desperate to feel the same buzz.

Ryan said: “The sweet and simple joy of waving your children goodbye before slamming the car door, cranking up Heart FM and not having to deal with their bull for the next six hours is unlike anything else on earth.

“I’ve tried to replicate the feeling by telling myself I could just leave them at the park, or walk out of the house and never go back, but it doesn’t give me the same narcotics-like hit.

“The closest I can come to that surging feeling of freedom and possibility now is when I get them all buckled into their car seats.

“There are five magical seconds between shutting their car doors and opening mine when I feel the endorphins kick in, then as soon as I sit down they open their mouths and instantly harsh my buzz.”

Haha😂

Well the left wing ones are hardly going to admit it are they?

Anyway, we all can decipher as we see fit

Well the right wing ones are never going to tell the truth are they

Well you have to keep an open mind and examine the evidence

And not to be so dogmatic and accept that the “other side” could be correct

In your case it’s Tories evil, Labour good

But the case of schools at the moment it’s rich people who can afford to home school and less well off, maybe care workers etc whose kids will be disadvantaged in comparison

They come under KWV, so are already in if their parents want them to be. A lot of poorly paid jobs come under 'Key'.

So the contact tracing app is being delayed until June.

https://www.theguard...ack-coronavirus

Apparently the test and trace can be effective without the support of mobile devices. I’m sure I have heard from the same source it was integral to its success but I suppose I might’ve imagined it. Let’s hope for the promises of 200,000 tests per day and 18,000 fully trained tracers are ready for school opening.

Otherwise confidence will take another knock.

Also children of key workers, Doctors and Nurses dealing with Covid positive cases all day, have continued to go to school

And have rejoined their keyworker parents after their shifts, no reports of any transmission here either

Some NHS staff have taken the decision to move out, and not risk spreading it to their families. Mate of mine is putting some up in properties her company would have normally been letting for holidays.

Just leaving this here as the media have been grinding my gears with their inputs since this started and some are relevant, some would be funny if not so tragically true!

The only funny thing about that post is that prime minister Chamberlain was forced to resign for not preparing for war properly, nine moths after it started

Lack of spitfires was probably on the charge sheet

And alot dont. Hospitality worker, nope - home school. Factory worker on a non food production line - home school. Some pretty well paid jobs come under key as well remember - as well as the obvious doctors, consultants, GPs, there are lorry drivers, some high paid nirsing jobs, head teachers, heads of department / year / school (I assume we are saying well paid means higher rate taxpayer).

There are a few teachers on my reasonably nice estate who are doing home schooling help sessions for the reasonably well off parents who can afford to pay them. It would be good if the kids from non key poorer backgrounds got the same opportunity as social mobility (and geographical) is one of the key things to get right to change the world going forward.

Its Monday, its another **** day of preparing for some not very nice messages, it cheered me up.

And listening to the media on the daily press conferences reminds me they dont want news, they want a STORY. Not the same thing at all.

If we are lucky BoJo will to, but god knows who will replace him as they are all as bad as each other (on both sides!)

Another one who is knocking a few off the key list that are on it!

We are also open to the vulnerable pupils too, many of them have low paid parents. Higher poverty areas are the ones seeing more pupils still in school.

Nice to see that the powers that be have seen fit to add the loss of taste and smell to the list of symptoms. Weeks after other countries. So people with these symptoms were allowed to roam freely. We'll never know the human cost of this act of gross neglection

I agree, Merc. There's certainly an irony to some folk becoming part of the parody 🙄
