Thought most of the NAPM brigade were withholding their home support until AC and DA had departed.

Never read anything anywhere that this had been made conditional regarding the nature of any new owners.

Seems as if, maybe, some members of the stay away group are now looking to move the goalposts - so what should we do now - wait until the new owners replacing DA etc are replaced by new owners themselves who might not be our cup of tea so wait until the new new owners are replaced by new new new owners and so on.

I might not live long enough to see this one through so I've got my season ticket anyway.

Some of them still dig Mansfield fans out for doing the same thing. 🤷🏽‍♂️

You think DA told MA the truth and everyone else a pack of porkies?

Maybe not. But do you honestly think a new consortium haven't spoke to MA? Do you think that MA hasn't demanded answers from DA and the new consortium?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I would think when MA took the job he expected to be working under DA this season and has learned otherwise in the last few days, putting his plans to sign McAlinfen and Walker on hold

Isn’t that the purpose of a football message board, most of the column inches written in the sports sections of the press and bar room debates? Moreover some points made stand up to evidence better than others.

Apparently they have now. They said put recruitment on hold.

I'm pretty sure MA is angry at funds being stopped so close to the season? I'd be frightened to park my car in the wrong place down at the Prozac.

He never stays anywhere very long anyway so unless he changes his spots it suggests someone who is always ready to jump when an excuse/opportunity arises. And that's not a criticism as a football manager is only ever a month of bad results at the wrong time away from the sack.

As far as it goes with this, I'd like to think he'll crack on with what seems to have been a reasonably well done job so far.

NAPM happened because the club stopped giving a toss about it's supporters and got involved in schemes that not only damaged the clubs reputation but have put it very close to disappearing from existence. AC and DA were important cogs in that machine but it's the ideal which is the key issue, people just want a responsibly run club that cares, that is not a lot to ask for. Now that should apply to any owner, just cause the bad guys are potentially leaving doesn't mean we should all go running back if doubts exist about the new ones and the pattern that first forced people away could possibly continue, and people seem to have dug up a lot of shady business already and there are a lot of unanswered questions about the motive of this sale given previous bid rejections. People have every right to still be suspicious and trust is hard to win back.

Town fans are not mugs and when they get suspicious something is usually up. Alnasser, Bingham, James Higgins, the Academy.....the list goes on and on and on.

That said if they prove to be a legitimate authority who have the clubs best interest at heart and start trying to fix the almighty mess here then I'm sure people would be back in a heartbeat.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

Hence even more questions on how they are funding the purchase

Bluster! Perhaps he will be good enough therefore to explain why existing loan note holders were approached about taking a further haircut then!

I'm fed up of this idea of feeding little bits of news to supporters like this. He needs to either make an official statement or cork it. Every time we get a little bit from him this way it feeds his ego."its more than £3m" - well how much? Can't say? Don't say anything at all then.

Absolutely spot on. In transactions like these there should be official statements and no more.

Is that in the very recent weeks?

"much more"

Would you like the actual contract of sale to study to be made public?

I'd like him to stop treating us like idiots and drip feeding us information through back channels. You obviously are more than happy to pick over the scraps he chucks off the table.

Tram Sports Limited will eventually have to file accounts which will show a fair amount of the structure of the deal, eg cost of shares purchased, amounts of loans taken etc. It wouldn’t hurt to disclose that much information now.
