Even an U23 fixture could have generated some interest from City fans (new ground for them etc, only just over an hour away) and we could have had an attendance boost of 300-500 away fans
However, City have a home premier league fixture on the same night against Southampton so I predict ZERO away fans and a woeful attendance
Great Scheduling

sure this year when some 'better' U23 teams entered and it was decided all the U23 sides would play away there was something about it should increase the attendances from the woeful ones of last season

We play them on 7th Nov don't we? which is international week - so don't think they will be playing Southampton.
Apologies - just seen has date changed to 29th Nov?

certainly the over riding reason given was to give younger players games against proper league sides, but before this season I'm sure I read some nonsense about U23 teams playing all games away in a hope to boost the shocking attendances seen last season

So certainly some loss of revenue for the club
