Agreed, Dave Allen when all said and done will walk away from this club in the non league without it costing him a penny.
He's milked this club dry , The 5 million or so in transfer fees , interest every year, no wonder any potential investor that has showed interest haven't been able to see the full books, as he's filtering money away so it doesn't affect him personally. You know what part of me says I don't blame him , but part of me is so angry at the man who gave us so much hope yet kicked us where it hurts when we nearly got there.
This football club is about to die a very slow death

But surely the hope was just as much part of the plan - I’ve found a quick and easy way of getting some cash if I can just get the locals to get on board and turn a blind eye for a while...

Of course he did - as did DB in his time.
DA’s Chesterfield is like a Triumph TR7 (or a Lotus Esprit for those with only a Bond knowledge of sports cars) - it comes out of the factory, all shiny and new, promising both glamour and performance. Then it transpires that it’s not really up to general day-to-day running and soon all those that bought into the dream are left with a big dollop of egg on their face.
One can only hope that DA goes the same way as Triumph Motors but I suspect he’ll be plodding on like Lotus - selling a dream that’s never really been there.
