Cannot believe the wave of memories and emotions since hearing this sad news. When Eric (Ricky) first introduced me to his elder brother at their home on the Hadlingtons Estate, late 60's I think,I met the first person in my life who had an audiophile turntable set up connected to two speakers the size of small wardrobes and he tried to convert Ricky and me from our chosen Soul/Funk/Reggae taste to his taste of Deep Purple,Pink Floyd (must have been a colour fetish),Led Zepplin etc,,. didn't work but it convinced me to listen to most genres of music, more importantly it gave me my life long love of vinyl music. He is now reunited with his beloved 'Gert'(his mum).Rest peacefully my friend.

I'd all but wiped (inappropriate word usage) that from my mind. It was even more sh%t than the match at Grim Grimsby Town later that day and that was very, very sh%t!
We were all very drunk, what a day (and night).

I've heard a lot of stories about him. A very charitable fella who loved the club through & through.
Rest in Peace.
