Too guy and folk often say his sacking at wednesday was the start of a very long decline. Was not even aware he had been ill

Trevor Francis should never had been sacked, but typical Wednesday. I never met the bloke, but he always came over as a thoroughly decent bloke, and what a striker he was. RIP Trevor, thanks for the memories.

A very bad day for players who played at both Forest and Wednesday. RIP. I have fond memories of that early 90s Wednesday side, despite ostensibly being a rival team I enjoyed seeing them do well in the top division and cup competitions for a few years.

According to reports a sudden heart attack is the cause.

Such sad news. Great player. Will never forget the diving header in the European Cup final rolling onto the shot putt circle. Even gets a mention in Only Fools and Horses closing credit lyrics.

I recall the Green Un had a little paragraph on the front page on him scoring on his debut when he was 16. Then each week that season they reported on another goal then another- he scored 15 in his first 15 games including a haul of 4. Sensational for his age, pity he suffered so many injuries later on.
Very sad to read today- RIP.

The UK's first ever million pound player. Not only that but would joke around saying that he was Jasper Carrots twin brother. RIP.
