One of my mates was a Town fan in the 70’s, early 80’s. Born and raised less than 50 yards from the Saltergate ground. He was even a ball boy there in the early 80’s. He, however, has been a Sheffield Utd fan for years now. If anyone remembers Ian who worked in the Salty Club for many years, big Town fan, now he’s a Wednesday fan and goes there. I just don’t get it.
Neither do I, it was a sudden change of allegiance. This coincided with Wednesday being in the top flight. When I asked him why his response was to see better quality opposition? Having said that he now been a Bowel for about 25 years. -

Pretty sure it’s the North Stand but happy to be proven wrong. Anyhow if it does come to that I’d prefer that than corners filled in, the smaller grounds seem so souless when they aren’t individual stands.
It was definitely mentioned that any future increase in stadium capacity would be a two tier stand on the North end of the stadium. -

Why do clubs have so many loan players these days? Is it a 21 century thy? I can?t recall us ever having loan players in our best sides of the last century. Cook?s previous squad had plenty as did Sheridan?s but even these had nowhere near what we have now.
I know it?s now part of modern football and we are stuck with bit, but I find it frustrating, as if they aren?t any good, which most aren?t as they wouldn?t be on loan or would be loaned to a higher level, it?s a waste of time, whilst if they are any good we are disappointed when they leave after a season or less as with Markanday.
The Football world as changed dramatically over past few years. There are far more sactions in play in the modern game.
