You’d have to go some to weaker than Carlisle. What do you mean?

From what I’ve heard, Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers fans haven’t been too happy with the way their owners are running the club. The way teams are dropping from L1 to the national league recently, one of these 2 could follow.

Forget any chance of winning the league next year. Playoffs again at best.

At least the top end of L2 won’t be as strong next season. Shrewsbury, Cambridge and Bristol Rovers aren’t as strong as Carlisle, Port Vale and Fleetwood. I could easily see all 3 being bottom half teams.

I wouldn’t be surprised for the top 3 next year to be made up of us, county and whoever loses in the playoff final.

I count that as 21 players in the squad leaving 1 space for an addition. Too many kept imo.

On the positive side we have a strong core to the squad and can add high end players to it. We just need to also move players on to fit any additions into the squad.
  4. In Topic: Notts County Sack The Manager....

Isn’t this an example of the pressure and expectation that spending big money can have? In the championship Hull City sacked their manager last season after finishing 1 place outside the playoffs, then proceeded to be involved in a relegation battle the next season. Some Derby County fans wanted rid of Paul Warne after being promoted from League 1 the other season. I must admit when we were on a bad run this season, I questioned Cook as we were in the bottom half of the table with one of the bigger budgets. Luckily, there’s 46 games that make up a season.

He’s been transfer listed as they usually do with players in their final year of contract. Just depends on how much they want for him.
