You can argue til you’re blue in the face. Change the team as much or as little as you want. The problem is the tactics - there aren’t any. Whatever the opposition we play the same old laborious game week in week out. Possession = f all when you’re incapable of hurting the opposition by upping the pace of the game or even gambling at times.

He admits it every week in his pre-match interviews. He prefers to concentrate on our game rather than looking at we can counter the opposition. So why the fcuk he never talks about our team selection beforehand as if it’s a big secret on how we’re going to play. This man is a joke.

Always been criticised of course but it’s blindingly obvious week in week out unless we play teams who play the same st6le.

5m to spend on rebuilding next year ? Let’s start with the manager please

I?m not sure where to start but there are lots of questions. Recruitment for a start. So many poor signings in January. We need a huge clear out and we will get one. Only 7 players (including dunkley) in contract. Also we need to have a question asked about training methods. Why has JD broken down again? Where is coco? Why has fleck not shed any of the weight that he clearly has despite being on the books for 6 months? Finally, a question about selection. Why did we abandon the 4141 formation that we stumbled upon yet served us well? Like lots of managers before us, seems like cook has stumbled into the picking teams in the hope that something will come off whereas the bottom line is the squad is poor and it?s our scouting team that has got them here.

Found out via the DT thread this week that nepotism runs as far as the recruiting staff. I wonder what credentials our Kieran has apart from being the manager?s son? No wonder he?s happy staying here as most of his family is on the payroll. Heard that PC jr is going on a junket abroad soon to look at potential bargains?.during 4 games!! Laugh - you couldn?t make it up if you tried.

We?ve suffered injuries, yes but this excuse can?t be used ad infinitum.

Team selections and formation are one thing but an inability to change things straight away when things are going wrong has been a recurring issue all season. Criminal that DJ and Metcalfe weren?t replaced at HT. Neither have an attacking spark in them and the latter will never score a goal as long as he has a hole in his arse_nal. No it?s not bad luck nor the referee - the buck stops with the manager. But has he ever blamed himself ? No it?s always the player?s fault if you listen to his post-match interviews.

Sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards?..as usual there?s no urgency in the game until it?s too late. Nearly 63% possession most weeks but with nothing to show for it

Yes, everyone knows I?m a critic of our manager, and one of a very few who has dared to raise their head above the parapet even when things haven?t gone belly-up this far. I?m afraid the majority who still defend him are living in the past. Even the commentator today was making lame excuses by saying that Grigg would have made all the difference. Last week Ty was the unuttered excuse for the worst performance witnessed this year.

From everyone being convinced we were going straight up, sights were then quickly readjusted to the play-offs. Now we?ll be scrambling to stay out of the relegation zone. Yet this is what Notts County did will say those still in denial.

A big clear out at the end of the season ? I?d add another (at least) from the non-playing members of the team. Passionate about football - yeah like all our fans, but when a manager is tactically inept it?s not enough in today?s game.

Can?t be sure but if my match day programs are anything to go by, Plymouth at home 30\10\71. Won 2-1. Either way it would have been during the 71/72 season wi mi dad. Got virtually all of them for years to follow

This thread had me scouring through treasured souvenirs and I was pleasantly surprised to see home attendances over 6,000 even midweek during this season, even with teams like Rochdale and Halifax playing. As an 8 year-old I was a bit oblivious to these sort of facts of course. Some things don?t change though: the Shay was slagged off way back then in the program notes for being unplayable.

Possibly first away game on mi tod was with a school pal at Swindon in 1977. A miserable day to forget like last week. 3-1 defeat

Lots of codgers on here I note

Dominated 1st half, game would have been put to bed if Pepple had put an easy chance in.

Never woke up 2nd. Subs too late and the wrong ones made after 2 quick goals which could have been avoided defensively. Take your pick about those responsible

However JG immense today and led by example. Shame about others with more experience like Naylor who needs to be dropped. Totally off the pace. He and the CF should have come off straight away after the 2 goals.

Shecks just confirmed my previous thoughts about him today. Clueless with or without the ball. However I?m not sure his replacement is much better. We have a problem at RB methinks

Coco put on first presumably to save the match. I groaned loudly when it happened and unfortunately he proved me right. Just not at this level.

OB only gets on in the last 5m, Mandy with 2m of normal time. Scandalous

Easy for PC to go off his rocker after the game. He?s the one who has the capacity to change the game when it?s needed but he failed badly. Whatever you say about Walsall?s tactics the changes made at HT worked. PC was stuck in the usual mind frame and late subs were the usual desperation tactics without thinking things through as the game developed

Btw when will he realise Madden has never played CF in his career ? Yet he?s always been a prolific goalscorer

Cook is only here because he realises he has strong backing which in turn gives him an acceptable standard of living. You only have to listen to bits of interviews where it comes out and he knows he?s sitting pretty. He?s been sacked/out of work in his career and generally he?s in a strong position currently with the club.

The big test will come if the situation deteriorates at the club and the fans start to turn?..and don?t say it would never happen.

    Shame on you !

How dare you doubt His Holiness whose profanities we forgive against the devils dressed in black. He who turns the water into wine (or lager), He who heals the sick and infirm (apart from all our injured players). He who ran barefoot over the barren wasteland in Wigan and parted the waves of the river Rother to save us all (because he had nothing else better to do).

Have faith My Son and ye shall reach the playoffs.

    Bless You
