Playing devils advocate, and I say this with Mandeville being a firm favourite of mine, but Mandy should have scored early doors at 0-0 and wasn’t it Mercalfe that gave the ball away which led to one of their two big chances before the sending off.

If their lad had scored, which he probably should have done twice ( I think same player ) we could have gone in 2-0 down and Mandy’s miss and Metclafe’s error would have been huge talking points.

All if’s and but’s but shows how fine margins are in the game.

Over the moon for Mandeville though. Fantastic servant of the club and IMO a huge player for us.

I said the same about Metcalfe. He improved as the game went on but a few errant headers and passes early on put us under pressure.

Left it too late I think after this rotten run. Suppose you never know though

I think we will see Drummond Saturday (bench at least).
The more I think about, I reckon Cook thinks Play Offs at best (if we all of a sudden start winning), but if by a miracle we make it, we haven't got the team atm to win it. There is simply better teams above us, and even the 5h1t ones are beating us.
So, I'd say he's giving the team a shake up, giving players a chance to prove themselves in this league with a side eye on maybe it clicks, maybe in don't.
But, like I've said in a previous post somewhere, the silver lining is that a lot of players will be OOC so room for improving and building a team/squad fit for L2 promotion

Cook knew the playoffs were done when we lost to Walsall, hence why he was raging after. We?re now playing for nothing, but if we?re not careful will be looking over our shoulder. In my opinion, we should still be doing better with what we have

What's our record in league games this season with Markanday starting v not? That might be an eye opener.

Honestly what the f**k was that. We looked better over Christmas with a patchwork team and Drummond up top than we do now.

Mandy on the left is one of the strangest decisions I?ve ever seen. It smacks of desperation rather than having a clear solution for how to get us going again.
