I am wondering if my memory is playing tricks but I cannot recall such long injury lists back in the 1960s.
I cannot remember the likes of Dave Blakey, Gerry Clarke, Albert Holmes et al being out for long unless they had broken something.
That was a time of heavy tackles, poor pitches and restorative treatment via a cold sponge.
If we had the current injury list in those days we might have struggled to field a team.
Happy to be corrected if wrong.

Not Robin Asquith ... a series on BBC Sounds about a lower league guy who got caught throwing games.
Interesting bit for me is when he said he signed for Bromley ten years ago and got 10k for signing on and 850 a week wages.
And this is when they were in NL South !
