Hands Off Our Trophy

Just heard on 5 Live Fighting Talk a proposal to award our Anglo-Scottish Cup to either Coventry or St Mirren. At least our trophy cabinet got a mention. This explains it:

What Do The Following Have In Common?
22 October 2024 - 03:42 PM
In the spirit of recent threads regarding things in common, here is a trivia question I heard on the "Let's be Having You" podcast recently, involving Town.
In 2001-2, what did all the following teams have in common, which created an achievement that has never happened before or since?
Fulham, Blackburn, Bolton, Rotherham, Millwall, Walsall, Brighton, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Blackpool, Rushden and Diamonds -
Hurling
20 August 2024 - 07:00 PM
The recent All-Ireland hurling final between Cork and Clare was apparently one of the best ever. I watched it on iPlayer but I think it has been taken down now, but seems to be available on YouTube:
I?d not watched much hurling before but wow, what a sport. Real men, no feigning injury and they do it all as amateurs, holding down full time jobs.
Instead of watching all 3 hours (unless you?ve time to spare) it?s maybe best to skip through to the goals- there were some great ones- then watch the last ten minutes or so (matches are 35 mins per half).
I?ll not spoil the outcome but the ending is incredible.
