Simkin is up there with Ashmore in terms of being a twat but I have to admit I'd love to have him in our net, he's unfortunately a very good keeper
2 very good young keepers on display today… Simkin good but will I believe suffer career wise as our very own Tommy Lee suffered, due to a lack of height…. And not dominating his box…. Goodman a much better prospect… -

Can’t see Cook being keen on signing a player that turned us down last summer, like Dallas boat has sailed on that one.
I agree, he had his chance.
I really do not get the urgency to sign a keeper, Boot has been super reliable and saved us numerous times, he knows the players the staff and how the manager wants to play he seems calm under pressure and is decent with his feet. -

Isn’t Grimes one of the players modelling the new kit on the new graphic in the front window of the club shop?? Surely it would have made sense to use players definitely staying next season…. Or is this a clue that he is??? -

Agree again. When it turned out to be Walsall we faced I felt we had a really good chance to get to Wembley , I appreciate they’d had the better of it over the 2 games previous and they were the best team to come here this season when we managed to get a draw but considering what they’d done in the second half of the season and then dropping out the autos with about 30 seconds of the season to go, I just thought if we put it on them and got a goal they’d crumble but it never really came . The penalty was the turning point for me. Credit to them , they’ve had major disappointment over the last few months but they were solid when they needed to be. It is what it is tho. It’s done. Coyb.
You mention the penalty being the turning point… I think Colclough’s chance was the game changer, going for power straight down the keepers throat over precision. I think with a bit more composure or if that chance had fell to Grigg its 1-0 and a totally different game!! -

It’s all about making the most of our chances (stating the obvious) but Colclough’s chance when he went for power over precision would have changed the whole game… it was also one of those games where things didn’t quite fall our way… if they go our way tonight I have a sneaky feeling we’ll do it in extra time!!
