Pepple has lots of room to improve.

And if he can he'll be an excellent addition. Adds an entirely different dimension to our strikeforce.

From the internet, so pinch of salt but since some time in 2024

Pepple 13 goals in 54 games
Hudlin 6 goals in 32 games
Dackers 2 goals in 52 games

Not a bad return rate for Pepple given that he hasn't had many (any?) full games with us.

I think we all have to be realistic. All players at this level are going to have their faults, otherwise they wouldn’t be at this level. Tommy Lee was no different. The new goalkeeper will be exactly the same. However, what I am certain is that cook and the board do not throw cash around lightly. The players who we have purchased in the last few years tended to have been good. I see no reason why this lad should be any different. We have shown with these signings that we aren’t chucking money around left right and centre. I like the balance and like the fact that we have invested in what should be our number one for the next couple of years.

That. Plus the lad's comments about settling down here with his family brings home that it's a big commitment from the likes of this young lad and his family too. As DTP says, this lad and Boot look like a stronger position than we've been it for a bit. He seemed to do especially well at Kilmarnock btw.

Malaga is great for a city break

Not sure whether I mentioned that it boasts a particularly fine car museum located in an old cigar factory...
