There's a lot of people live there but the demographic is such that people generally support other clubs. In time, if they were successful they could fill the place but they've been trying to do that for a while now.
Stems from the fact it's a new town built in the 70's and 80's. Everyone moving there came from other parts of the country and their allegiance lay from whence they came. A mate of mine moved there in 1982 and subsequently bought his two kids up as Town fans, as did many others who moved to the area. Most post war new towns don't even have a professional club. The ones that do, MK, Stevenage, Crawley etc are all poorly supported for the same reason. It may take a couple more generations for them to get the local support. -

Fellow SPIRITES
My good friend, Astra, the Pagan Goddess and Official Saviour of the SPIRITES, has suggested that the title of the new programme should be...
The World Famous...
Legendary SPIRITE chant AUM RESHNI CHAAT!
Can all SPIRITES vote for that, and we can wave the programme as the legendary chant echoes around the SIM Stadium.
Cosmic peace and Joyous Love to all SPIRITES.
Gets my vote -

Tbh I'm glad that it falls just a day or 2 after a return from my summer jollies, and miss the opportunity to see us play a Sunday league side on the Spanish equivalent of stand road park...
The Sunday league side being a fully professional team from Gibraltar. Stand Road park being a world class training centre with FIFA class pitches used by the likes of Everton, Palace, Rangers, Leicester and England U21's.
It's a game that has been organised as part of the training week, it has been open to the public for free. It is not compulsory to attend. If you see it as what it actually is you might be able to rid yourself of that superiority chip on your shoulder. -
