I was told earlier by Chelsey in the shop it was Burnley , bless her! I wish it was Burnley , there was a time when the Burton pre season friendly was always at their place.

just bin the printed programs off. They get worse year in year out.

Not a chance , there's still some of us who buy them. You don't have to buy one so why make that remark?

Joking apart but maybe will be considered a bit bizarre by some, but how about calling it after and showing a mark of respect for someone who did a hell of alot for programme collecting and town programmes in particular and calling it

    SPIREITE
    NAG

That's a really good idea and better than what I've seen of the suggestions put forward.
  3. In Topic: Club World Cup

    15 June 2025 - 08:31 PM

I've been watching the Under 21 tournament on channel 4 rather than this World club cup thing and one funny moment in the England match earlier was when Beadle the England goalkeeper sat down on 35 minutes the camera panned straight over to the England bench and stopped on Tommy Simkin !!!

Stirk was excellent against us in both legs of the Semi. I hope this is true. Wonder how it will go down with some with him being an ex scab though!!

They relied A LOT on their loan striker Nathan Lowe when he went their results dropped off a cliff. All depends on who they sign to replace him, and of course who we sign. Lots of interesting moves ahead I think.

Sad thing is they still beat us 3 times without him!! When he did play we got a draw.
