In 1967 Tahn played Workington twice in 4 days
Not two Cumbrianclubs , granted … but nonetheless it could be said consecutive matches against Cumbrian opposition
Remember that time, wasn't it around Christmas time? Workington at bottom of table, we were doing quite well, but lost home game I think 1-3. The away game a couple of days later we managed a 0-0 draw if my memory serves. But I do seem to recall the frustration of Town fans that we lost to a bottom team. Sometimes we seem to repeat the feat sadly! -

That?s me in for a couple of tickets (and ?50 gone!) ? Now to decide how the hell I get there?!?
You can get there on the train easily enough, via Stockport though, as Derby route looks to be replacement buses. I logged into trainline account, and the (change at) Stockport route came up as auto matic choice. The ground is very near the station too. However, I've been told it's a very busy route, but at least we should get there!
