Looking forward to seeing The Crooks playing too - they're all Town Fans, and I'm putting them on at Hasland Club on Friday (tomorrow!) with Derbyshire's Alchemy Band

I thought that band were absolutely brilliant - really didn't expect that - can't believe their from Town. Thanks for the ticket link - I'm definitely going tomorrow night now.

Not sure about the away kit - Mandy looked "Pretty in Pink" - maybe the band should have played it?

Ah brilliant - a great stocking filler coming at the right time of year, but also a good opportunity to celebrate the music scene here. Been following this on Facebook

I was in the toilets down The Duke last Saturday, and a bunch of lads came in. Most were having a laugh, and a few asked where they could see some live music, 'cos they weren't from 'round here. I suggested Real Time Music or The Rutland. They then went on to say they were from Mansfield, and I didn't react - there was no air of football - just some lads asking about music. Then they brought up football - again, I didn't feel any threat, and I grudgingly (but genuinely) said they were doing well. Then, a new little guy came in who was obviously with them, and asked if I was a Town Fan. "Yes", I said, proudly, but with no confrontation in mind - I was having a pee!! It all turned from here...the little guy with the Napoleon Complex decided to kick off at me with 6 mates behind him. I got out of there straight away, but couldn't help thinking if they didn't watch it, they'd get their heads caved in coming down Brampton and acting like that. I used to sometimes go out in Mansfield in the 90's for a change of scenery - twice a year or something, but I'd always keep my head down. This was a p!55 take picking on a lone guy on his own turf whilst he's having a pee
