    There was no “bust up with cook in April infront of the West Stand”. The incident happened right in front of me. When the final substitution was made and Madden realised he wasn’t going to be coming on, he removed his bib, threw it into the dugout and walked off down the tunnel. I don’t know that Cook was even aware that it happened as he was busy watching the match, and I don’t think any words were exchanged. Madden then changed into his tracksuit and joined the rest of the squad after the match on the lap of the pitch. (There may have been a subsequent bust up out of the public gaze of course).

    I’d say really good in patches, I’d like him to stay for another year because I think he’s a good option to have on the bench, but I was expecting more when he came back to us, and there hasn’t been the consistency I’d hoped for (albeit the games where he was played in the wrong position alongside Oldaker didn’t help).
