As the season is coming to a close, I thought I would try and describe our season in three words, feel free to contribute.

    Possession Football Boring.

    No End Product.

    Cook Booked Again.

    Pass Forwards Please.

    Better Players Needed.

    3points of playoffs
    3games to play
    All to playfor

Well, after being on here for over 15 years and before that a subscriber to the original Spirenet mailing list, I?ve decided to call it a day. If the results aren?t bad enough at the moment, having to pour through multiple threads of Walton?s (and certain others) self-indulgent post match threads are all too predictable and frankly boring.

Life in this country is depressing enough and football should be an exciting distraction, but reading some equally depressing (and unjustified) criticism of our football club on here has made my mind up to say, enough is enough.

    I?m done, bye.

It's OK blaming the officials, but we were poor throughout. Our midfield is woeful...we need someone with 'balls' in there, someone who's not afraid to tackle....Jones is our only option.

What's all the obsession with Grigg and his goal scoring abilities....am I missing something?
Grigg is one of the top scorers in L2, Chesterfield are the top scoring team.
It seems to me the problem isn't scoring goals, its the same as last season, keeping them out at the other end.
Yes, I know the defensive players are an improvement on last season but injuries are not helping however, even when the defence is at full strength we have been prone to the opposition running throught the centre of our midfield unchalleged, taking a pot-shot and scoring worldies (Swindon, Salford etc). For all Oldaker's & Bank's lovely passing, we are missing a 'terrier' in the middle aka younger Mike Jones. Maybe we are missing Nayor there or will this be Fleck's job when he's fit? Tomorrow night could be a good opportunity to experiment with a more 'aggressive' midfield? But as far as I'm concerned, its certainly not Will Grigg's goal scoring abilities.

He was gash today. Took madden to come on for us to look dangerous.

Ah well just the 3-4k a week for a few tap bins.

How you must crave for results like today to spout your drivel. Grigg was having to contend with not one but two man markers who consistently pulled him, grabbed him, pushed him, all going unpunished by the ref. He's still amongst the top scorers in L2, 25 goals last season....but hey, don't let these facts get in the way of your sad agenda against him.
