How can kids learn that there are winners and losers in life if they aren't shown the consequences.
I even offered time and equipment to go and support the teachers with inter school football games/tournaments and guess what? No response.
Some schools do play games and it is frustratingly poor as the teachers do not formalize positions or any structure for the teams, as if they are just ticking a box of attending. You can see the frustration and anger in some of the kids who want to play and be competitive.
I also Coach two U8 football teams and the parents are in support of fair game time etc. whilst being competitive. Four tournament Wins, Two Sunday League Cups, a Saturday League Title and 4 Promotions on Sundays, starting next season in the Top Division on Saturdays and Sundays. All with the same 8 players hopefully means we have got the balance right. -

School sport has never been more competitive !
Unfortunately Not at my lads school.
No Sports Days and all Team events with no winners or losers
no Football Team, although last month they did have an inter school Cross Country Race but with mixed years -
