Anyone with insight as to why keepers don't wear caps now when the sun is in their eyes?Felt embarrassed for Boot the way he was shielding his eyes with his hand.Did he feel confident enough to keep goal with one hand?I know that as it happened last night a one handed keeper could probably have kept Burton out, but that's not always the case,or the point.

A handful of burton kids pre match outside the Batch House started throwing punches at randomers. A few gave it back then police arrived.

Thanks for the link, interesting but not what I expected. So to summarise,my dad's generation wore them so I would rather not, even though I may be blinded by the sun and be 3-0 down by half time?
Not a great argument or reason,or as per the article,am I just being 'old fashioned'.

A couple of my son’s mates were caught up in it, sounds like they were vastly outnumbered and there were 20 or 30 Burton lads just trying to pick off individuals. Shithouses!

Surprised they weren’t served up some revenge afterwards

I know this isn't really to do with Burton, but didn't feel a new thread was necessary. What's the goalkeeper kit situation, has anything been announced? Were our keepers wearing last seasons kit in the last game?

Not many town about, not surprisingly as it was a friendly obvs. Well we’ve got them in the Vertu (snigger) trophy, so let’s see if they turn up then. You wouldn’t have thought so but if they’re going to turn up to a friendly looking for it, then who knows?

Apparently the Burton kids who did it have been gobbing off on social media about it, so if they’re brave enough they’ll stay in touch 🤔

I remember watching Burton getting a slapping at Ilkeston both on and off the pitch back in the day. Gresley Rovers and Tamworth are their real rivals and they get giddy at games in Derbyshire.
