Ah that’s just plain daft.
Footballers should not do cycling/ long runs / any other quad heavy discipline (elliptical, rowers etc) at any time.

It’s not 1987

You’ll be livid to know they were also on the rowers

You never know, Walt. There may be someone out there who knows a bit more about this stuff than you do.

Liverpool have an arrangement I see with Peleton, with a number of players extolling the virtues of fixed bikes.

According to Alldis [‘experienced Pelton instructor’] jumping on a Peloton post-game is ideal when it comes to active recovery. “The best time to jump on a Peloton Bike after a long run or intense training block is 2-6 hours post-workout or the next day for active recovery, depending on how your body feels. A 10-20 minute low-impact ride shortly after exercise can help flush out soreness and improve circulation, while a 20-30 minute easy recovery ride the next day can aid muscle repair without adding strain. Keep the intensity low [Zones 1-2, 80-90 RPM, light resistance] and focus on movement rather than effort.

They wouldn't risk multi-million pound assets for the sake of a sponsor.

I see Rodri used a recovery bike in his rehabilitation.
I’m sure there’s scores of similar stories of players using bikes.

Rehab is obviously a slightly different matter.

Talking of bikes there's some back pedaling being done now.
