Hoping that we'll see what he's all about after a full pre-season, only then will be in any sort of position to assess his value. Personally, my expectations for him are pretty high.

I'm happy he's staying. His experience will be essential. he will have limited starting opportunities but cookie will know how to maximise his strengths when required.I
I imagine a sensible contract was agreed with him.

I should add that Madden had 9 G/A from even less appearances/minutes than Colclough and pretty much everyone wants him moved on.
Not sure disinterested just that he had other things on his mind which with the court case is likely to be expected. I'll agree with what others say in that dribbling and taking players on he's as good as anyone at this level but its at the end of that run that he isnt as good. Overhit crosses or shots flying over\hitting the side netting are pretty common. If he could sort that final end product he would be a major asset.

I wonder if it's a 'done deal' to give Dobra the Captaincy?
It's a difficult one for Cook, who recognises his potential and sees a way to get even more out of him, but at the same time playing him a position that gets regularly rotated.

Completely agree. I haven't seen anyone in L2 who can so comprehensively leave an opponent floundering with a sudden change of direction and burst of pace. If he could more consistently put in a better cross or shot, he'd be one of the most dangerous attackers at this level and possibly L1.

He's unlikely to change at this stage of his career. I'd like him to stay personally.

Agree, I think Duffy should leapfrog him this year, but as an impact sub he's one you know will change the game and get the crowd going. With Boot Confirmed now things are at least firming up well squad shape wise

I was 50:50 on this one. At times, Fleck looked absolutely exceptional. He clearly has plenty of class - but will need youth and pace around him. I can see us rotating Naylor and Fleck alongside Stirk.

I think we can only judge him fully, after the pre season and how he performs in competitive games in the new season. Paul Cook has obviously seen enough from him already, or he wouldn't have got a contract. We've had some decent ex Sheffield United players in the past, so I'm hopeful about the two we have now.
My Blade loving brother raves about John Fleck, and he certainly wasn't wrong when we signed Salmons, Deardon and Badger.

Dunkley, Naylor, Mandeville, Grigg, Fleck would all go ahead of Dobra for captain.

I think we’ve seen enough of him to see his qualities and as long as we’ve not gone silly money I’m happy with it. We just need someone who can cover a lot of ground and get around the pitch to go alongside him. Hopefully Stirk is that player

I think Naylor will be a defensive midfielder and fill-in right sided centre back (as the situation demands)

I’d say there’s more chance ash palmer being captain

Dobra won't captain any team until he cuts out his antics and to be honest I haven't seen leadership skills yet maybe one day but far in the future

Dobra doesn't need the responsibility of being captain, yet. I'd say it's between Naylor, Macfadzean, and Dunkley, with Jamie Grimes as club captain. I could well be wrong though 🤔.
