Be nice to have another RB but with the current squad we'd need to ship a couple of first

So that's 4, mid twenties, long contracts. Duffy, Dobra, Hemming, Markanday. Which one will go for mega bucks?
Stirk has arrived under the radar but must, logically be at least as good as Oldaker otherwise the business wouldn't have been done.
And Lewis looks to me from what I've read like an upgrade on Horton. That's the bottom line so the squad is improved, but much more potential.
Stirk gets up and down the field more than Oldacre

As I've quipped before, he perhaps looks a bit weedy from the stands for a defensive midfielder but when you stand next to these players, you change your mind.
I think he'll have stamina, positional sense, and a brain. Just like Mike Jones.

Have you ever seen Roy Keane in the flesh?
I couldn’t believe it. He looked like a scrawny kid when I saw him getting off the team coach at Derby back in the day.

Lots of us did in 2002 at Saltergate. I will have seen him play others time too.

I was responding to dim view who says players on the pitch can look skinny but not so much close up.
Roy Keane looked much slighter and weedy close up. Surprisingly so.

Would be a bit confusing if he wore blue.

You don't have to be big to be a dirty sod. He wasn't hard just dirty

He was very close up taking a corner at the Kop end being abused for his desertion at the recent World Cup.

😆😆😆, I was also told, while on the Kop at Saltergate, that Albert Phelan was a useless lump 🤔. This was the last time I talked to the Golden Gordon lookalike 😆. I'll never forget him as he only had two fingers and a thumb on his left hand, but he could remove a Woodbine from it's packet far quicker than a six fingered scab 😁.

Recruitment so far looks good.

Are you asking why a CM would want to be mobile?

I think the 8 second rule might lead to new tactics, with more players tearassing forrad at breakneck speed into unattended areas when their goalie has the ball, cos if the goalie is under pressure to release the ball quickly he's going to knock it into the channels. All the more reason for very mobile CM's.
I think also we are going to see more 'diving' by goalies if they feel the slightest touch when, presumably, the 8 seconds starts again after they get up.
