A reduced ticket allocation at Oldham will be a blessing in disguise - especially in the winter months.

A grim place itself but always enjoy a Manchester day out

If you try and board a plane, pissed, you don't get on the flight.

Surely it can't be that difficult to do the same at football to stop the idiots.

Plenty of pissed people get on planes mate.

Fair play to Oldham, got out of the NL much quicker than we did and their chairman is a likeable chap who’s pumping money in seemingly purely for the love of it, rather than for personal gain or nefarious reasons.

Also like to see (most) ex players doing well and lifting trophies.

Look forward to two big games with them next season.

And get a reduced ticket allocation at their place in retaliation? No thanks

You mean, the same as our last visit. Can't go much lower and still meet the 10%.

I look forward to their griping about not getting 'the away end' at the SMH.

Not too fussed who came up really but Oldham’s closer and I quite enjoy it when there’s a little bit of needle in a match day. Be a decent atmosphere. Cracking game , obviously some shoddy defending but it made it good viewing for the neutral.

They do...

Then again... people get into Wembley with pyros...

Then again (again) people get banned (or slung out) with no weapons but their fingers...

Then again (again, and again) people from Leek have six fingers...

The sanity of this country. Go figure...

But at the end of the day it's a closer away fixture. At least a bit less profit for the owners of Kwik Fit.

Good point there, obviously I’d have loved it if they had crashed and burnt today but it wasn’t to be. But you can’t beat a match with the atmosphere of a grudge a even hatred, on a football sense, of course.

And some of those bedwetters who get hysterical because they came on our pitch always get gooey eyed over the gesler days and storming each others kops. Makes no sense.

And totally forget we’ve been on a fair few pitches over the last few years ourselves

Yep. I’d say the pitch invasion people speak of was more embarrassing than owt else as it wasn’t even to win the game. Just laugh at them and move on but no , we need to ban their fan base. So so precious.

I asked the question that started this and, as I approach my 70s, night-time incontinence becomes a clear and present danger. My answer to the question would be no, do not restrict their numbers, and that the best way of keeping them in their seats is to score early, and frequently, and don't let them score.

I only really asked it because every time their name comes up on here there are pages and pages about what scum their fans are. "Bedwetters," indeed.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Having watched brief 'highlights' I wonder if the second equaliser was offside. Difficult to see definitively but clutching at straws.
Was there VAR?

No VAR only goal line technology used.
