It's quite amusing watching the Oldham fans going in to meltdown on Twitter that their club allocation of tickets is capped to 17500 as London transport is closing Wembley Park station for maintenance works that Sunday, so due to limited capacity at the other Wembley station, they are capping availability of tickets... the Vanarama Nat League really cant organise a piss up can they????
Remind me again how relieved I am to be back in a proper league...

The non league final was delayed to the 1st June to get to play at Wembley...and as it's a non league game London Transport don't seem to register it's an Event day/ final and plan to do engineering works closing the Jubilee and Met lines... Oldham and Southend could easily take double that

That's absolutely ridiculous. Both clubs would likely have sold more. Oldham haven't been to the new Wembley have they? Utterly pointless to have rented the stadium.

They would both have sold a few more potentially but nowhere near double.

It's not quite that when you read it. Oldham can sell 9000 more on top to people travelling by coach. Weirdly Southend make no mention of the restriction but are selling coach/ticket packages.

Yep apparently it’s come down to how folk are getting there. Seems they can have more if they arrange plenty of coach travel.

It’s ridiculous, the 2 biggest teams in that League. If they can’t open the tube station, play it somewhere else. Tottenham or Arsenal would be good options.

In the bigger scheme of things this match isn’t top priority, but it is a Wembley event and somewhere along the line wires have been badly crossed. It’s not as easy as play it somewhere else, unless it’s arranged months in advance. Many big stadiums have other events planned and the manpower needed at these stadiums for a 30k plus crowd would take planning a good while in advance. Even clubs like ours have plans to relay pitches after the season ends. The bottom line is how on earth have the NL, Wembley Stadium and TFL conspired together for this total eff up.

Very good from Wimbledon, I reckon we’d be about the same as Walsall.

We took about 14 to Wembley 2 years ago, out of a gate of 38+, so it might have been around the 18 mark....and 2 years ago was a train strike day and CFC couldn't source the coaches as Notts Co and Forest had already booked them up, so I think more may have attended without that issue...

We took about 15k against the posh. 24k against Swindon. So it’s hard to say really. Not that it matters like. We aren’t there and won’t be there next year as we'll win the league. Can’t believe it.

It would be great to go up Automatic...and not have to suffer the stress of Play offs... Nothing could be as bad as losing on penalties at Wembley...
