Just seen the result from last nights game, very suprised at that result.(0-3).York finished second in the league with 96 points and 23 points ahead of oldham,We know how tough it is to get out of the national league but york must be gutted. And the prospect of that "mob" from oldham joining us in league 2 next year is not a pleasent thought.

According to the stats on BBC, York must have all been sat in deck chairs

They were on the pitch when the second went in! Like you say, morons and something needs doing about it.

York tried to pass it about and gave away the first goal fannying about on the edge of their penalty area. Oldham were big, strong and prepared to soak it up, trying to hit York on the break. York abandoned their passing game at 3-0 down but couldn't make and progress with more direct tactics. Racking my brains to remember where I'd seen a similar-sounding contest, recently...

I think Oldham will be promoted. No-one will do anything about the repeated pitch invasions or smoke bombs, and all that. Certainly, I don't think Oldham give a damn.

Ollie Banks was stood with the Oldham Chairman waiting to congratulate Micky Mellon as he left the field last night.

Old friends or maybe his next boss?

Edit: sorry, just seen it’s been discussed in every other current thread too lol

That'd need a bit of a 360 from the Oldham fans!

play offs are horrible in the most part, great if you get through it all but can be really cruel, especially when you consider the effort that goes in over a whole season to finish so far ahead of someone and then get dumped out of it by them, similar to barnet last season getting tonked at home to solihull.
one thing did strike me, i'm sure when we were in the play offs a few years ago we had a very short turn around between the halifax and solihull games, seems oldhal have benefitted from a decent time between the 2 games.

should oldham make it back, they will be a pain at our place, pitch invasions and flares everytime they win a throw in, as someone else said nothing will be done.

Fans don't decide which players clubs bring in, thank God. If he goes and plays well they will warm to him in the time it takes to boil an egg. Football fans are fickle.

and if he doesn't they'll soon turn on him on mass. They seem particularly quick to spit vitriol at the players and I'm not talking a few types we have on this forum. If he goes there, he's a brave man.

Oldham seemingly warmed to Drummond. I'll happily drive him to Boundary Park...

Watched the game last night, was very poor on the quality front (you do have to take into account it was a semi final etc). To say York finished 2nd they were very, very poor. Oldham very direct and basically bullied them for 90 minutes. If Oldham do come up, cant see them causing many in L2 an issue unless they recruit heavily. When i have caught bits of the NL this season it looked and seemed to be a poor league standard wise.

You wont have to worry about driving him there, he will be driving himself somewhere else shortly...

I see Yoganathan scored for Oldham, wonder if we'd be interested in him on a season long loan next season
