suspect the retained/released list may be out this week.

Think i'm correct in saying we have 8 current players under contract beyond the summer (Shecks, Naylor,Mandy, Grigg, Dobra, Duffy, Dunkley, Madden) .

There's always a couple of surprises both in terms of who is released and who is retained, with so many OOC it will leave room for incommings this summer.

Of the OOC i do hope we retain Gordon, after that i'm not sure. I think Boot, perhaps a couple of the current centre backs and maybe Banks might get another contract (another who is featured on the kit launch photo).

i would be highly surprised to see Daley-Campbell, drummond and hobson offered extensions.

we'll soon find out.

By all accounts there was at least one player used in the kit launch that wasnt originally going to be. One of the 8 you mentioned as under contract for next season was meant to be doing but forgot about it and wasnt in Chesterfield when it was happening so someone stepped in for him.

According to the Derbyshire Times there are nine players under contract for next season, the additional one being Bailey Hobson.

He signed a two year deal when he joined before last season so he is out of contract unless there has been an extension at some point
