A much more sensible approach would surely be to move on a number of those out of favour that haven’t featured much at all this year, and bring in 4/5 real quality additions to improve the squad ready for a push for autos next year. I’m sure the retained list will probably reflect this approach.

Cos a large percentage of them are aging crocks who have shown they are only capable of mid table when they are being paid top of the table wages.

Pretty much. The play offs showed we are miles off properly challenging. There's absolutely nothing to suggest that another year of this aging squad is likely to do anything.

Cook says our weaknesses are giving away daft goals and failing to penetrate. Those are the clues when we are working out who will be released.

8 points mate. We finished 8 points from autos, and that’s with the biggest injury crisis of a generation.

If “miles off” is just turning 3 games around across a 46 game season then I’m quite content to be miles off in our first season back. Lester is spot on, a mass exodus isn’t required, just 4-5 quality players to help turn those tight games into wins and we’ll easily be challenging. Harmony of the squad is key.
