proud of the club and whilst it is inevitable to feel dissapoitment, i'm not on the floor because the club is in a good place, we have just finished in our highest position in the pyramid for 8 years and next season i'm confident we'll better that again.

👏👏 I’m with you brother

Should be no animosity, we showed effort, you can’t knock your team when they give their all, but we need a rebuild, we will win league next year if we get rid of all the old players , we are crying out for energy
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

We were superb tonight, and yet your response is that I must have been smoking something? Bit bizarre, to be honest.

I don’t think we were superb tonight. Superb tonight would have been overturning the two goal deficit. We did what we can do, have a huge amount put of possession but ultimately don’t turn that into either chances or goals. We didn’t let ourselves down but neither do I think we set the game alight.

No doubt we need more pace and energy but we’ve cobbled a side together and given it a good go.

Totally agree. These last two games we’ve been far too pedestrian. Painfully at times.

I wouldn’t say we were superb tonight at all. Sure we had chances and dominated possession but Walsall did a number on us - again. Superb would have been winning two nil to take it penalties or even 3-0 to go through. We lost this game 2-1 and the tie 4-1. By no definition is that superb.

Played them four times and drawn one and lost 3.

Simple truth is injuries and some of our national league players left us just that little bit short. We did well to get into the play offs but over these two games we got exactly what we deserved.
A new hope.

As far as I could see, it was a repeat performance of Sunday, we huffed and puffed, controlled the game without ever looking like scoring ...

It's nothing short of remarkable that we have got to where we have and done so against all the injury odds. Sure, I'd love to be at Wembley, but that would have been the icing on the cake. Next season is something to look forward to

I'm sure we've got offers ready etc for players. Always exciting times. Disappointed how it ended - very ungracious and undignified from Walsall. They've always had a 'dark' side for me - I suppose that's why they call it brownhills round there. The animal who went for McFadzean needs banning for life. Justice is then done.

Absolutely brilliant performance tonight…completely dominant against a ridiculously stubborn side.

So so proud of the performance tonight….ifs & buts, who cares!! There should be zero negativity tonight….we come back stronger next season & win the league.

Completely agree. We weren’t bad but we were far from superb. We’ve let these 2 games pass us by a little bit. Not sure there needs to be so much wet wipery from folk on here tho. It’s been a decent season back in the league , we’ve had some good games ,some bad games and some rotten luck but we’ve got the right guy in charge and I’ve no doubt he’ll build a side more than capable of winning the league. We should be positive about our future. Some folk just can’t handle losing very well on here I’m afraid. Melons.

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are saying this to compensate for all the negative crap on here tonight.

Truthfully did you ever really think we were likely to get on level terms?

Energy and pace is something we have most definitely lacked, more so than ever after Markanday and Berry left

I’d guess most of those out of contract players won’t be offered deals, or if they are it would be in reduced terms as back up players.

Our national league players have done well, but for many it’s been a step to far in terms of doing anything other than survive in this division

I thank them for the success last season, but we need to evolve and most will be seeking new employers
A new hope.

to be released i assume? the only one on that list i'm not sure about is grimes, simply because he has been used in the kit launch for next season which is either just an oversight or grimes was happy to do it even though he's leaving...

I’m sure there will be a big change
As much as I’d like colclough & Banks to stay…they maybe at risk aswell

Interesting preseason ahead…but be confident cook & kirks have it all planned
