Massive dislike for Walsall now. Hope to see some tears of sadness next Monday.

Disappointing over two playoff legs but a solid return back to the football league. Big summer ahead. We need to improve everywhere on the pitch. I’m sure we will be up there next season. We go again.

Yep, spot on that.

Decent first season back to finish in the play offs but disappointed with the two legs. Walsall proper did a job on us and we fell well short.

But next season is a new season, and we will see an almost new squad to have a real go at it.

Enjoy the summer and look forward to next season

We've been wank all season. Cook will get us to league one. Not with these players.

Yup, as me and my daughter walked out of the away end at Donny after a 3-0 win in front of 3000 Town, I said to her "that was wank".

And when we were 4-0 up at Crewe after 30 minutes I put my next door neighbour's front window in shouting "this is wank"

We really shouldn’t be gutted by that, we know that we’ll be much stronger next season, top 3 next season, we fell short and I really don’t give a shit, we should be proud after the shit luck we’ve had.

Proud of our efforts , we could have been braver in formation but it’s just not the cook way, mass clear out needed though , over 30 gone imo, a new fresher chesterfield with the likes of metcslfe who has won me over and sparked signed , priority s big strong fast striker, we need an eoin Doyle type

I’ve never been a massive fan of them to be honest, way back to the mid 90s when they came up with us. Would love a Wembley defeat with some tears for them.

Not done so well on here though

I think it’s fair that there’s a lot of disappointment in these 2 performances.
We were poor and didn’t deserve anything against an average team in very poor form with no confidence.
We’ve missed a huge opportunity there.
I’d hope that Cook is disappointed too.

Disappointing thing for me is that we can’t say that we gave it everything in these 2 games and came out second best.

Metcalfe would be a cracking signing but I think Everton will want him in the league above. The improvement from him since coming back into the eleven has been remarkable

Can’t see them beating either of the other 2.
They aren’t a good team.

I hope these twats get done at Wembley. I think I’d even want county to beat them if they got there instead of Wimbledon

Cook ain’t daft, he’ll know the problems we have and he’ll address it in the summer. Like when we lost to county, we weren’t ruthless enough so he signed will grigg who scored the goals to get us up.

Bring on the retained list and the summer signings. All town aren’t we

Time this got re-arranged...

All town we aren’t

It’s extremely difficult to play against a team who drop back so deep, glad we don’t play like that because if we did I would probably not go.
For all the master tacticians who promoted gung ho from the start, they scored when we went that way which isn’t unsurprising.
After all the injuries etc this season it was probably two games too far but we still maintained our upwards progression. That’s four seasons where we have been champions or involved in playoffs, a record many teams would be proud of, I await next season with a positive outlook.

Disappointing that we had enough chances to win that over the 2 legs. But with the injuries we did well to get into the play offs. It is what it is.

I'm looking forward to a very different starting 11 next season though. Of 'our' players, Dobra, Grigg, Mandeville (and possibly young Duffy) warrant a place in the side or coming on off the bench. Of our 'others' players, Sparkes and Metcalfe haven't let themselves down. Boot has blown hot and cold and might be ok in the squad at a push.
