SC could have and should have won it at the end of normal time and at the end of extra time.
But them the breaks

Yep. He's a big head like Sheridan but, like Cook, he issues very clear instructions, analysis. and feedback. In his time I thought he was the best player turning out in the lower leagues.
Summat that stood out to me was the standard of goalkeeping. There's a gulf between what was on show and what we've got.

Think that big youth in the Stockport net had a stint with us a while back??

Was on loan from Barnsley and made 2 appearances in November 2020 within the space of 4 days which both ended with 3-2 defeats. Away at Altrincham and home to Notts County where they scored twice in injury time to win!
He was released by Barnsley at the end of that season and after an unsuccessful trial at Portsmouth ended up signing for Danish club Esbjerg fB.

And that's why I've said, if folk think we are going to take league 2 at a canter, and have the players ready to compete in league 1, they're dreaming. We're talking serious money.

Both goalkeepers were excellent. We had one briefly of course.

Both were excellent. We had one for a game or two on loan of course. Witnessed only via a screen for most.

Let's not get too carried away by the standards of L1. It is two teams at the top of a higher division so hardly surprising, there is plenty of crap in that division as well - people are starting to sound like Mansfield supporters.

Mansfield a point in question, really.
Take Aden Flint for example. Clough spoke about him earlier this season in that he was outstanding for them in L2 last season, cleaned up at their awards night, L2 team of the year but at the stage of his career, L1 was a bit much.
Much quicker and powerful players that his 35 year old body struggled with. He was subbed at Orient after half an hour cos he couldn’t cope with the pace.
He had an early season injury but regained fitness but ultimately the step up in quality was too much.
Is Markanday another example? I’ve no idea what’s going on with him there but he was outstanding for us and displaying huge signs of L2 team of the year but is a frequent sub at Orient.
As good as Orient look, they lost 16 times last year so plenty of sides turned them over.
Would we?

Maybe, if we could get Rommy Boco out of retirement.
