And yes can be pass forwards. No one of the most over rated players I have seen. I will answer my own question bring back Chris perkins or cliff Carr.

Where were you on the winning run?

Where were you when folk were having a go on the Play Offs or Not thread?

Worst kind of “fan”. Enjoy the ups, ride the downs. It’s a game. Get over it and get a life

gordon had a good game, he rarely gave the ball away, dug us out a few times and locked down his chanel (the first role of a full back). That said, if sparkes is fit enough, i'd be tempted to start him, we need to score 2 goals and his delivery is top draw for this level

Sparkes puts in a great cross. My issue is that we rarely have the men in the box in open play to get on the end. We don't really play that way. It seems slightly confused to me

cook's first spell, i remember him saying about gary roberts, that the players have to anticipate robbo putting the ball in cos he gonna do it, sparkes is the best crosser of a ball since roberts, but you are right his quick eye for a cross will not be worth it if we don't have people in there to meet the cross, do you play bim? do you play bim and grigg?

Personally thought he was rubbish yesterday, but not too worried as he’s solid enough rest of the time.

I agree I didn’t think he was very good yesterday but a couple of others weren’t at it including Mandy but they’ve got plenty of credit in the bank to have an off day , just a shame it was a play off semi. Olakigbe was a waste of time tho , I’d have pulled him at half time. He did Mandy no favours whatsoever. The second goal came from him being useless on the right , I feel Mandy could have done more , not watched the highlights so not sure if boot could have done better as well or not.

Lewis Gordon is the best left full back we've had for a long time, but the whole team had an off day.

Walsall quickly spotted that Olakigbe wasn't dropping back to help LM, and they very obviously targeted that flank in the first half. I don't blame Mandy, because he's a very good attacking midfielder who is having to do a job he's not really suited to, hence the penalty from a mistimed tackle that needn't actually have been attempted as the attacker had already lost control of the ball. The second goal, of course came from the same side as they continued to pressurise Mandy, and he was, understandably afraid to dive in after his earlier experience. Their scorer struck the ball very well, but on most occasions those efforts are blocked or deflected, and I wouldn't attach any blame to Boot, as he was completely unsighted. My biggest gripe regarding our performance is that we hardly ever got a ball into Grigg in a scoring position, which negated our main goalscoring threat. The good news is that we still have a chance to put it right.

I still remember that header Cliff Carr scored at Crewe - perhaps the smallest player on the pitch.
