I was at Saltergate as Tahn play d Rochdale against the backdrop of Celebrations on winning the Division 4 trophy
Simultaneously Bradford fans assembled for their celebration of winning the league above and to see them play Lincoln City
Sadly 54 Bradford fans along with 2 Lincoln didn’t go home
The footage taken at the time says it all ….
RIP 56

Very sad times. Thankfully lessons have been learnt and grounds have improved.

Me too. I remember my dad driving home and I heard the reports on the radio before seeing the footage when we got home. The speed at which is spread was shocking.

Awful scenes throughout, but fans should expect to come home from safe and sound from a day out at the football, but I'm not going to get into all that today. RIP to all those who died on the day and to those throughout the years who died due to the consequences of the fire.
I've watched the scenes many times since, and I think they get more saddening every time.

I believe West Yorkshire fire service use that video as a training guide, it is frightening how fire can spread in certain conditions.
RIP the 56.
