It's a different kettle of fish though in fairness, yellows for timewasting like the lad on 36 minutes are pretty common place even early in the game, and whilst it cuts it down for the remainder of the match, there are another 9 players who can take advantage and take the hit with a yellow for delaying taking a throw, or taking a kick (GK included).

When the GK goes down with a supposed injury, the Referee's hand are tied as he cannot fully prove it is a delay tactic. The only way forward is after a 3rd occasion of going down, the Referee suggest that he is not happy to let the Keeper continue to safe guard him, a bit like the concussion subs, it could even be an extra stoppage and extra sub. Just simply on the 3rd occasion down, let him and the physio staff know that if he goes down again, he will need to be removed and replaced by the sub keeper

Our lot are so law abiding that they could get a game with Vatican City, but I'd rather have them part of the holy order than cheat their way to a win. The odd shirt pull or gentle shove happens in every game, but it's the blatant going down clutching the face at the threat of a chance on goal, or players falling over off the ball, especially goalkeepers, that really gets me. I've never cheated, because I think it's the slippery road to ruin.

Not a popular view, I fear, but one I wholly endorse. I'm proud to support this Town team, and would hate to be cheering on a Solihull/Walsall/Borehamwood type of approach.
These go to eleven.

I hope Simkin breaks his neck in the warm up and has to watch a Walsall defeat in hospital with tears in his eyes.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Not particularly pleasant when we’ve had a player go though that this season and all the anguish and uncertainty that brings all concerned.

Williams didnt deserve what happened to him, Simkin is a cheat that cries wolf, fingers crossed he gets hurt and he lays there for ages because they think he's acting.

I always find it frustrating when so many of our players are happy to receive the ball with their back to the opposition goal, even deep into our half, take one or two touches and then play it back/across to a defender and repeat, rather than let the ball roll across them and move up the pitch. Gordon is a classic example, ball from Boot, receives on his left foot, face to our goal- it's only going one way from there.

Dobs, Metcalfe and Mandy (not at right back though) of yesterdays starting line up are prepared to look and move it forward, although young Metcalfe seemed happier last night playing it sideways. Strange game for Banks, as someone has said not sure he touched the ball in the first 15 minutes, and seemed lost for the rest of the game.

Bloody hell. Broken necks a bit harsh. Stubbed toe and conceding early on followed by the dons keeper spending 70 minutes on the floor will do.

Maybe treading on an upturned plug in his socks?

On a serious note, wishing a life changing injury on a player isn’t a good look

I'd like him to be fully conscious and watching on from the sidelines as the consequences of his getting a second yellow for timewasting unfolds on his team.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

I'd like him to cheat and waste as much time as he normally does, but concede a last minute equaliser, then drop a real clanger in extra time to concede the winner. That would wipe the sly grin off his face.

Or for a decisive goal to go in as he’s laid on the floor claiming injury.

Done it, very unpleasant but I was walking normally within 30 seconds. I fear that could be a career ending accident for the likes of Simkins
