Been away since Saturday. Am I right in this take. They wanted more tickets at ours, more than we've been allocating all season which couldn't be done. So to reciprocate they've changed the configuration of the ground which as been in place all season to increase segregation needs and therefore reduce the capacity just so they can deprive us of a few hundred more than we could let them have. If so what a set of mard arse b....Ards. Pathetic.

Had a dislike for Walsall due to the poxy Bernie Wright goal at Derby. But they are now ranked with the sh...houses of oldham, notts c. boreham, bromley and their country folk soilyhull.

100 extra fans is neither here, nor there.

By doing this, they've split us up in to 2 areas. I don't blame them for that one bit.

whether you go by train, plane, bus, car or any other mode of transport that shouldn't matter at all. Points system should come into place for the 26/27 season which will allow next season the club to work out how many points you start on for the following season after you've attended aways next season.. They cant just implement it for one game for example after not doing one all season it needs more thought and alot of resource for that.

Proper consultation with fans is
Needed if they are talking of points systems.

Im totally against the idea

I'm not against the idea at all personally, i do more than my fair share of away games to have more than enough points. The system would need as you mentioned proper planning. Not sure it would need a fan consultation as if you went to the games and buy ST's you generate points..

I am not a ST holder as I live in the South, I go to more Away games than Home games due to Geography/Life.
I am quite happy for some sort of points system to be implemented, gone are the days when you can present a certain ticket stub/s for an early round game to have the right to buy a SF or Final ticket, but buying online DOES leave a 'paper trail' so should be able to be organised.
This is the problem of having a successful club to follow... a NICE problem to have though.

I'm sure they'd have much preferred to sell 900 more tickets to their fans, in return for an additional 100 of ours.

It's like saying Bradford City would leave 60% of their stadium empty in order to give us the same 1k.

I don't understand what you're saying here bud.

This Walsall smoothbrain is blaming us for him not getting a ticket.

The only one to blame is Chesterfield, they only care about their own fans, I’m glad we reciprocated in the same way. Their fans will miss out on over a thousand tickets because of the way their own club have acted.

Why? Rewards loyalty, like every other sales based industry does.

I’m in the England away travel group and it works, 70% of allocation goes to top points holders, 30% ballot for the rest

Everybody can see that a mile off. We should have just given them the North stand. We would have got possibility 2k for the return leg. Its a strange decision all round really.

So, possibly 800 more non-season ticket holders at the SMH OR 1,000 more season ticket holders at Walsall.

Hopefully, some of those 800 come back for more next season, and even become season ticket holders.

That's my initial thought.

So we should change the allocation we have done all season to let more away fans in at the cost of our own fans...nonsense. If it means Walsall getting petty and going to great lengths to try and look good to their fans then so be it.

Just needs a point system applying

ST purchase = X points

Then you either do X points per away day or categorise away games by desirability so those going to Exeter and Barrow rewarded more than trips to County or Vale.

Apply priority windows similar to how CFC mentioned for England Supporters club.

Not rocket science but also we've never needed this before, nice problem to have!

Always look after potentially returning home paying supporters than away allocation.

Why would we turn down 1,000 more CFC fans from seeing a home game to favour 1,000 more seeing an away game. No real logic in that.

Perhaps another field that should be in the calculation being the longevity of the season ticket holder. Whilst welcoming new season ticket holders with open arms, I feel the ones who coughed up through all the grim times, should gain a few extra points in any point scoring system.

If you buy a pie at half time its 2 points and if you buy a sausage roll its 1. You cant gift points for everything!

Exactly. It would have been shocking to give the north stand up.

No, just the realistic things, what it's aimed at, attendance.

Problem there being we have changed ticketing systems two or three times so how feasible that is to do i'm not sure.
