Answer the question. Don’t ask another one.

Why would the club.
A- incur cost to reconfigure a stand to accommodate more away fans?
B - piss off loads of loyal fans who have had seats in that part of the ground for years potentially risking a loss of revenue?

Nimbyism? Ffs man.

I'll answer your questions happily:

A. If the costs of doing so were projected to be repaid within approx. 5-8 years. I believe this to be the typical expectation from capital investment in real estate and/or infrastructure.

B. The loss of pissed off east standers would be factored in to the ROI calculation (A above). Short-term pain for long term gain. Many fans were pissed off
at leaving Saltergate, some never returning. Unfirtunately, there's always casualties with any change.

The Club is blessed to have Phil and Ash underwriting it. However, it's best to be self-sufficient, maximising it's income streams.Protecting the Club for future generations to enjoy, just as I have done, and am doing.

I don't need to ask you any questions. as you've already [indirectly, or subliminly] answered them.Thank you.

My bad. Is that this question?

"Have you ever been in the East Stand?"

If so, the answer is yes, I have been in the East Stand.

If it's another question, then I really can't find it, so please remind me, and I'll happily answer it.

Do we need a points system. Maybe the old tried and tested methods are best.
Tickets for season ticket holders go on sale at the ticket office at 9am those in the queue at 2am with a flask or bottle of Jack Daniels for sustenance show the commitment by being there or having a proxy there on their behalf. Only 2 tickets per person on production of STs. Rewards the committed and eliminates the current pot luck of fastest finger first or the fact some greedy git might eat enough sausage rolls to gain more points than someone attending away game in the car.
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Its a joke... Until we are selling out week in week out away from home we dont need a points system. As i've said previously the club cannot get a social media post correct. Would end up being a disaster. the saying is, if its not broke dont fix it.

Still happened back in the day.

I queued along Cross Street overnight with thousands of others for tickets for the league game ( Plymouth, I think ) which guaranteed a semi final ticket in ‘97 and my neighbour got one from a friend he had, who worked at the Co-op who got sponsors tickets.

Like to think the experience meant much more to me 😂

I can see a need to it to an extent, by the time we are selling out week in week out away from home its probably too late plus we will always have a few games here and there that need something to make it a bit easier.

Also starting something now gives those hardy travellers putting the miles in now a chance to build up points for those bigger games should they come.

The slight issue i have with it is how things are allocated in terms of points. If you're not careful it ends up making it a bit of a closed shop so its the same folk all the time with no chance for anyone else to build up points as they keep getting the tickets and more points all the time.

I'm actually tempted with this. Is it an on the pitch job or sitting in the stands? (Sorry if I missed that bit).

Hope it's in sync with the lounge screening

bump.
Just read that the lounge needs pre-booking. Can't book though, it's not connecting. Anybody else had/having trouble?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

That's a really good point, but not one that would affect us, yet. If I recall correctly, only Grimsby was sold out, prior to the last game of the season at Accy.

Which is a fair enough point, but were they all sell outs in 3 minutes. I know Notts County went quick as I was unlucky then too. I too remember queuing in 97 all around the ground in the middle of the night for the replay tickets. Memory might be playing tricks but wasn’t the league cup final replay being played.

You're probably right, thinking about it. Same as Harrogate, and possibly Donny too.

Deffo Harrogate. Not sure about Donny, but you may well be right.

Yep, its basically a big TV screen.

Can anyone actually confirm that live football is likely to be a 'good watch' on the big screen, from the West Stand?

Is the resolution detailed enough to stop it appearing pixelated/jumpy?

Also, are they piping Sky Sports commentary through the grounds PA or 1866 commentary?

If its the latter then how are they 'delaying' the pictures to ensure the two are timed together?

Contemplating going down to watch it but apprehensive about the viewing experience.

I'm in the exact same mind. They must have tested it to make sure it works
